            New Point Kennels

We understand that your show dog is also your pet and need to be loved and adored whether at home or at shows.  Each dog we agree to handle has goals established by us and the owner(s) and how we shall achieve those goals.  New Point Kennels is commited to the safety and happiness of each dog in our care!  We also strongly believe in quality, not quantity.  We will never take on more clients and/or dogs than we can handle.  Please visit the Contact page to seek further information about New Point Kennels

It all began with my mom's first show dog, CH Cha-Moi's Lady Brigantine or Cassie.  I was allowed to show her, but only to hold the points for our friend when I was seven years old.  But, Miss Virginia Lyne thought Cassie was one of the best Newfoundlands that day!  Cassie was awarded Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex!  Needless to say I was hooked after that first win!
Since then I have was awarded with Best Junior Handler at the Newfoundland Club of America National Specialty three times (NCA Record) with the last under the authority of the great Mrs. Anne Rogers Clarke.  I have also competed at Westminster Kennel Club in Junior Showmanship four times and each year I made it to the last cut before the finals.  My Newfoundland, Tera, and I were awarded 4th at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship in 2003 earning a $1,000 scholarship.  Throughout my Junior's career I worked for some outstanding handlers, Kim Griffith,  Peter and Valerie Attkinson, Erin Roberts, Adam Wilkerson, and Amy Booth (formerly Rodrigues).  I learned the basics of caring and conditioning to trim and final presentation as well as how to conduct myself in a very professional manner.
The American Kennel Club allowed me to intern at the New York Headquarters while in college as the Marketing Intern where I worked on the AKC Credit Card.  I graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a major in Social Science and minor in Marketing in 2007.
After graduating college I started New Point Kennels as a full time professional handling business.  Another major event happened on March 19, 2011 where I married my best friend, Tommy Owen.  We reside in beautiful Southern California in a town called Alta Loma with our Newfoundland, Bret Favre, Pug, Blue, and two Staffys, Bob and Sadie.
